Using wider CHENGAL planks for interior applications can provide a distinct and visually appealing aesthetic. Wider planks can create a sense of spaciousness and elegance in interior spaces. They can be particularly striking in wall paneling, or even custom furniture pieces. To produce wider CHENGAL planks required large log, we choose a large CHENGAL log with the desired diameter and quality characteristics, such as straightness, lack of defects, and consistent grain. Using CHENGAL wood indoors, it's essential to consider potential issues such as dimensional stability and moisture content. Therefore the wider CHENGAL timber 20mm x 400mm we supply to the reputable contractors are kiln dried timbers for interior applications.

After cutting from CHENGAL log, the Chengal planks need to be properly dried to reduce moisture content and stabilize the wood. We do this through kiln drying. Once dried, the planks require planing and surfacing to achieve a smooth and uniform thickness. This process is crucial for ensuring that the wider planks have consistent dimensions and are ready for interior applications.
